Mnet revealed that Psy and Super Junior will be performing at the upcoming 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards, which will be held in Hong Kong on November 30.
Psy and Super Junior were both highly evaluated for their amazing achievements they made all over the world. A representative stated, “When we stated our intentions to hold MAMA overseas again, many Asian countries including Hong Kong inquired about Super Junior and Psy’s appearance.”
He added, “They’re expected to give upgraded performances for the audience at the 2012 MAMA, so please look forward to them. More world-renowned singers will perform at the awards as well. We’ll announce their names one by one.”
Super Junior topped the charts with their 6th album early this year, and also became the hottest K-POP group, growing largely popular in Asia, North America, South America and Australia.
Psy on the other hand, is currently popular in such countries as the U.S., the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands with his viral hit song, “Gangnam Style.”
After confirming the attendance of Black Eyed Peas, another world class act will be added to the list as CJ E&M announced that famed U.S. producer Dr. Dre and rapper Snoop Dogg will be attending the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). Read more
SM Entertainment artists will finally take stage at MAMA after the end of a long dispute.MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) held a press conference at Sangamdong CGV this morning with CJ E&M President Kim Seongsu, Singapore’s Mediacorp vice president Wee Way Kiat, Soo Siew Keong from the Singapore Tourism Board, Mnet’s Production Director Shin Hyeongkwan, and director Kim Dongjoon.When asked if SM artists will be able to participate, Shin Hyeongkwan replied “You will be able to see SM artists in this year’s MAMA”, indicating that the air of animosity had been cleared.
